Become a member!
As of Autumn 2009, only members of Akademiska föreningen can become full members of the Association of Foreign Affairs. You are a member of Akademiska föreningen if you have joined a student guild (studentnation), the student union (studentkår) or applied for special support membership of Akademiska föreningen.
If you are not a member of Akademiska föreningen, you can become a support member. Contact us at info(at)upflund.se and we’ll give you more information.
Membership in UPF holds many benefits, including:
- Free entrance to our lectures every Wednesday at 19:00
- Our quarterly magazine Utrikesperspektiv!
- A weekly newsletter via e-mail with information about current activities in the organisation!
- Membership of the Swedish Association of International Affairs and the opportunity to take part in their national and international activities!
- The possibility of participating in UPF’s wide range of activities and the experience of having worked with one of the oldest and most renowned student associations in Lund and Sweden.
To become a member costs a mere 100 kronor per year. The easiest way to become a member is to approach us at our weekly lectures on Wednesdays 19:00 at Café Athen.
Alternatively, you can contact us by e-mail at info [at] UPFlund.se, by phone (076-8093660) or do any of the following:
1) Transfer 100 kronor to Postgiro-number 43 42 30-9. Don’t forget to state your name and address, or we cannot register you as a member! If the bank doesn’t allow for you to state your entire name or address, state as much as possible and contact us at the earliest opportunity so that we can arrange for you to complete your registration. Failure to comply will unfortunately result in us being unable to award you with a membership, or, even worse, your application getting lost in the paperwork. You will unfortunately not get a membership card by mail. The easiest way claim your membership card is to go to our lectures.
2) Sign up at our lectures or regular meetings.
3) Drop by our office, AF-Borgen 5th floor, during our office hours on Mondays 14:00-16:00
4) Send an e-mail to info [at] UPFlund.se and we’ll explain how you can arrange the payment.
