UPF is proud to welcome you to the first lecture of the year 2012, given by the European Commissioner Cecilia Malmström. It will be held on the 27th of January, 12:30 in the University Aula.
Cecilia Malmström is currently serving as European Commissioner for Home affairs ...and is thus in charge of issues regarding police cooperation, border controls, asylum and migration. She is also a former Member of the European Parliament and has served as Swedish Minister for European Union Affairs.
The lecture will focus on the Arab Spring, how EU assists and supports countries to democratic development, how it has affected the ongoing work on the design of a common European migration policy and the atmosphere around Europe regarding xenophobia and racism.
Don’t miss the opportunity to ask your questions to one of the leading politician of the European Commission.
