Colombia seminars: Update

We now have yet another interesting addition to our schedule, namely Andres Gomez who speak on the topic of journalism and the situation for journalists in Colombia.

NOTE! The time table has been slightly adjusted (see new schedule below)

Remember to show up a little earlier if you need to purchase a UPF-membership as the registration takes a few minutes.

For non-members: Attending one lecture will cost 50 crowns/50 kr, and can be paid at the entrance.

Thomas van Hare - former White House Official on the topic: Reconstruction Efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan: Washington vs. he Real World Experience (Rescheduled)

Based on his extensive personal experience, including as a three-time White House appointee during his 30 years in and out of senior US Government positions, Thomas will speak on the strategies employed in post-conflict reconstruction and stabilisation operations in both the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.

Det har nu blivit dags att söka till nästa års styrelse och andra förtroendeuppdrag för verksamhetsåret som sträcker sig från 1 juli 2013 till 30 juni 2014. Alla är välkomna att söka och/eller nominera till styrelsen. Ansökan eller nominering skickas till valberedning@upflund.se senast den 3:e april 2013 och skall innehålla ett kortfattat CV och motivationsbrev på max 1 A4-sida, ange tydligt till vilken/vilka post/er du söker. Därefter kommer valberedningen att genomföra intervjuer och ta fram ett förslag till valårsmötet som kommer att hållas den 18:e april.

It is time to apply for the elective posts for the coming academic year, effective as of July 1st 2013 until June 30th 2014. All posts, on the board or otherwise, are open for applications and nominations.

Applications or nominations should be sent to valberedning@upflund.se by April 3rd 2013. Applications must include a CV and a brief cover letter, no longer than 1 A4 page. Interviews will be held by the Election Committee in the beginning of April, in preparation for the Association of Foreign Affairs Annual General Meeting, which will be held April 18.
