Ett nydanande projekt i förbundets verksamhet är för nuvarande i startgroparna. Utrikespolitiska Förbundet Sverige har för avsikt att för första gången ge ut en bok. Temat för boken som vi ska sammanställa är Globaliseringen och dess konsekvenser.

Boken kommer att sammanställas i antologiform, och vår målsättning är att involvera experter och sakkunniga inom många områden och med varierande bakgrunder, och att den på så vis ska belysa en mängd olika perspektiv på bokens tema. Som ett led i det här projektet har vi även tänkt bereda väg för talangfulla skribenter inom förbundet. Därför utlyser vi nu UFS:s författartävling som kommer att fortgå fram till april år 2010.

Temat för författartävlingen är De nya globala aktörerna. Det som eftersträvas är ett kapitel som tar upp hur nya aktörer som exempelvis transnationella företag och icke-statliga organisationer har fått större tyngd på den internationella arenan inom en rad olika utrikespolitiska sakfrågor. Längden på tävlingsbidrag bör ligga på ungefär 3000 ord.

Europe Meets Russia: A Forum for Young Leaders

The ‘Europe Meets Russia’-team is pleased to announce the launch of its third program. Europe Meets Russia: A Forum for Young Leaders, will take place in Berlin from April 11th – April 16th, 2010.
Europe meets Russia has been designed with the intention of bringing together young individuals (mid-later stage students or with some young professionals - around 1-2 years experience) so that they can gain an insight into cultural diplomacy, exchange ideas and experiences, and learn from influential figures in the given field. Participants will develop contacts on social and professional levels through the participation of lectures, challenging workshops, and discussions. The Forum aims to examine the state of the European-Russian relationship today and to consider the role of cultural exchange in supporting this relationship.

Summer Internship with AIESEC

AIESEC is the world’s largest student-run organization and has over 50 000 members in 108 countries. As part of it’s leadership development program AIESEC offers students and graduates the opportunity to volunteer and work in different countries throughout the world.

I contact you to kindly inform UPF members about the “Summer abroad Project”, a unique, social, cultural and volunteering experience promoted by Aiesec Lund.

The different internships can have as goals teaching english for youth, helping NGO’s in their daily activities, and other tasks related to development and gender studies.

The summer internship consists of an experience in 5 different countries, Turkey, Egypt, Ukraine, Poland and China, for a duration from 6 to 8 weeks.

We decided to get in touch with You because of the professional and personal experiences that your members might achieve being part of the internships we are offering.
